RUNPAST PUBLISHING

Runpast Publishing specialises in books on railways, mainly concentrating on the steam era

Currently there are two main series:

Full colour books of 72 pages in softcover containing around 85 carefully selected pictures from the 1950s and 1960s accompanied by extended, informative captions
Larger softcover titles with between 80 and 96 pages and 120 to 170 black & white photographs plus maps and other illustrations.

The authors of Runpast Publishing books are always keen to include a wide variety of pictures, so they show more than just locomotives. There are photographs of stations, signal boxes and other railway features such as tunnels and viaducts, many long since destroyed.

The text in the books aims to inform without being too technical, so appeal not just to railway enthusiasts, but are also of interest to people living in the areas featured. Railways are a part of local history and played a large role in communities in years gone by - and of course still do in many cases.

All Runpast books are produced by printing companies with a reputation for high quality work, so ensuring that the finished titles are well worth purchasing.

Books are available direct from the publisher and can also be purchased from various specialist retailers.
